1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Stashbird ("Stashbird", "we", "us") about your use of the Stashbird app and this website (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
3. Signing in
You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple account and your iPhone secure, and for what is done in the app while signed in as you.
4. What you may do with the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to install and use Stashbird on Apple devices you own or control, for your own use, as allowed by the App Store's rules. You may not:
- copy, sell, rent or sublicense the app;
- take the app apart to get at its source, except where the law says you may;
- use the app to break the law, or to keep documents you have no right to hold;
- interfere with the app or with the services it uses.
5. Your documents
Your documents are yours. They are kept in your own iCloud Drive, not with us, as the Privacy Policy explains. You are responsible for what you add, and for having the right to keep it. Your iCloud storage is provided by Apple under Apple's own terms. When it is full, new files are kept only on your iPhone, with no copy in iCloud, until you free up space or add storage.
6. Names, folders and answers
Stashbird suggests names and folders for your documents and answers questions from your own pages. It checks its answers against your pages and says when it is not sure, but it can still be wrong, and it can miss things a page says.
- Check anything important against the document itself. You can open the document from every answer, and when an answer comes from one line of a page, it shows you that line.
- Stashbird is a way to keep and find your paperwork. It is not legal, financial, medical or tax advice.
- Do not rely on it alone for a deadline or a date where a mistake could cost you money or harm someone.
7. Keeping copies
Stashbird never deletes a document except from the Removed folder, after at least 90 days or when you choose Delete for good. Even so, for documents you cannot replace, keep an original or another copy somewhere else.
8. Changes and availability
We may change, add to or remove parts of the app, and we may stop offering it. Because your documents are plain files in your own iCloud Drive, they stay with you if we do.
9. Ending
You can stop using Stashbird at any time. Delete account in the app's Settings signs you out and erases what Stashbird keeps on your iPhone, apart from its list of files deleted for good, which goes when you remove the app; your files stay in your iCloud Drive. We may end your permission to use the app if you break these terms.
10. No promises
The Service is provided "as it is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it: not that it will always work, not that it is free of mistakes, and not that it is fit for any particular purpose.
11. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the place where the developer is based. Disputes go to the courts of that place, unless consumer law in your country gives you the right to use your local courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page will change. Carrying on using the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
